	Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 9:42 PM CDT on March 20, 2010 ... Winter Storm Warning now in effect until 4 PM CDT Sunday... The Winter Storm Warning is now in effect until 4 PM CDT Sunday. An Arctic air mass continues to push southeast ahead of a strong upper level storm system over southern Oklahoma and North Texas this evening. Temperatures are expected to remain in the lower and mid 30s tonight... with areas of snow developing tonight atop this cold air mass over the warning area. Snowfall is expected to increase in coverage and intensity late tonight through Sunday. Total snowfall accumulations of two to five inches will be possible mainly northwest of a Clarksville Texas... to Texarkana and Nashville Arkansas line... with isolated amounts nearing seven inches possible across northern McCurtain County Oklahoma. The significant snowfall will diminish late Sunday afternoon or evening... as this storm system begins to drift east away from the region. Temperatures are expected to remain near or slightly above freezing tonight and Sunday as the snow moves into the area. Thus... snowfall accumulations will occur mainly on elevated and grassy surfaces. However... patchy ice may develop on some bridges... overpasses... and secondary roadways... where temperatures fall to or below freezing late tonight and Sunday morning. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are expected. Strong winds are also possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

	Lake Wind Advisory
Statement as of 9:16 PM CDT on March 20, 2010 ... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT Sunday... A lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT Sunday. A very tight pressure gradient will persist across the entire four state region through Sunday evening... beneath a very strong upper level low pressure system that will slowly shift east across the Red River valley of northeast Texas and southeast Oklahoma tonight... and into southwest Arkansas and north Louisiana Sunday. This will result in west northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph... with gusts to 35 mph. These gusty winds should begin to subside by Sunday evening as this storm system begins to depart the area. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
