The Flood Warning continues for
the East Fork Des Moines River near Algona... or from Buffalo Creek
near Burt... to Lotts Creek near Livermore.
* Until further notice.
* At 9:15 am Friday the stage was 18.6 feet... and steady.
* Flood stage is 14 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast... rise to 18.6 feet this afternoon... then slowly rise to
18.9 feet on Tuesday and remain steady.

... Band of moderate snow to move into the area this morning...

A band of moderate snow is moving over north central Iowa this
morning. The snow is generally along a line from near Storm Lake
to Kanawha and moving to the northeast at 40 mph. Though most of
the accumulation will be on grassy areas initially... some roads
may become wet to snow and slush covered this morning. With the
snowfall... visibility will be reduced to under one half mile at
times. Light accumulations of 1 to 2 inches will be possible as
the band moves across the region.

Travelers are advised to utilize winter driving skills and allow
some extra time to reach your destination safely.
