Through 10 am...areas of light to moderate rain will continue to move northeast across southeast Texas...central and southwest Louisiana and the adjacent coastal waters out 60 nm. Over inland areas...the heaviest rains will occur across interior southeast Texas...generally north of a Kountze to Bon Weir line...and across portions of south central Louisiana. Rainfall rates of up to three quarters of an inch will be possible in these areas...with lighter amounts expected elsewhere. Over the coastal waters...rainfall will be light to moderate with embedded heavier showers. Rainfall rates of up to an inch per hour can be expected within these heavier showers...lowering visibilities to less than one mile.

The Flood Warning continues for the Atchafalaya River at Morgan City. * Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 7:00 PM Friday the stage was 6.1 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 4.0 feet. * Forecast... the river is expected to remain nearly steady at around 6.0 feet through next Wednesday. * Impact... at 6.0 feet... the city dock will be under water. Water will cover the lower end of Belleview front street in Berwick. Vessel traffic will be affected by stronger river current and vessel traffic safety rules will be strictly enforced by the U. S. Coast Guard.
