Through 6 am...an extensive area of generally light to moderate rain will continue along the coastal parishes of Louisiana as well as over the coastal waters from High Island to the lower Atchafalaya River out to beyond 60 nm. Embedded areas of moderate to heavy rain along with a few isolated thunderstorms can be expected between the coast to beyond 60 nm offshore from Cameron to Marsh Island. Heavy rainfall capable of reducing visibilities to less than one mile...and occasional cloud to water lightning can be expected in these areas.

The Flood Warning continues for the Atchafalaya River at Morgan City. * Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 7:00 PM Friday the stage was 6.1 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 4.0 feet. * Forecast... the river is expected to remain nearly steady at around 6.0 feet through next Wednesday. * Impact... at 6.0 feet... the city dock will be under water. Water will cover the lower end of Belleview front street in Berwick. Vessel traffic will be affected by stronger river current and vessel traffic safety rules will be strictly enforced by the U. S. Coast Guard.
