The Winter Weather Advisory for snow... sleet and freezing rain is now in effect until noon CDT today.
* A mix of snow... sleet and freezing rain will continue this morning. This mix of precipitation is expected to gradually transition to all rain by noon.
* Little if any additional snow and sleet accumulation is expected. Some light glazing will be possible as temperatures hover around freezing this morning.
* Road conditions will be potentially hazardous as some snow and ice accumulate this morning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Although treated roads may just be wet... untreated surfaces will be ice covered and very slippery. Motorists should remain alert for rapid changes in Road conditions. It only takes a small amount of wintry precipitation to make roads... bridges... sidewalks and parking lots icy and dangerous. It is often difficult to tell when ice begins to form... so do not be caught off guard.
