At 1030 am...an upper level low centered over northern Louisiana was moving slowly east. Some low cloudiness was present as far west as Kingfisher and Lindsay...while the sky over the rest of Oklahoma and North Texas was clear. Scattered light snow was falling over areas east of a line from Shawnee...to Sulphur...to Ardmore. Through this morning...light snow will persist across portions of east central and southeastern Oklahoma...with very little accumulation expected. Due to temperatures near or above freezing... the snow will have minimal impact on travel as roads should be mostly wet. A few patches of ice may remain on some roads in central and western Oklahoma until noon...but ice will melt quickly as temperatures warm this morning. Winds will be from the north at 20 to 25 mph...with some gusts to around 35 mph.
Mostly cloudy. Chance of snow late in the morning...then slight chance of snow in the afternoon. Not as cool. Highs in the mid 40s. Northwest winds 20 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 30 percent.

The record snowfall for March 20 at Wichita Falls was a trace... which occurred back in 1970. Yesterday at Sheppard Air Force base in Wichita Falls... a total snowfall of 1.6 inches had been measured... which has broken the previous set record.
Precipitation records for Wichita Falls date back to 1897.
