Now
This morning moisture just above the surface continued to circulate around low pressure that was located to our east. Meanwhile...weak high pressure over Oklahoma and North Texas had allowed temperatures to cool to near the dewpoint overnight. The result was low cloud cover and patchy fog spreading from northern and eastern Oklahoma toward central...western...and southern Oklahoma. At 1045 am...the leading edge of low overcast skies extended from Elk City to near Lawton...Sulphur...and Atoka. North of that line...temperatures will be slow to climb into the middle and upper 40s until clouds break up later in the afternoon. Farther to the south...skies will be mostly sunny through early afternoon along the Red River valley into western North Texas. Then high clouds will begin to thicken this afternoon. Temperatures in this area will climb to near 60 degrees by 1 to 2 PM.
