Statement as of 11:50 AM CDT on March 20, 2010 The Flood Warning continues for the little Minnesota river near Peever * until this evening... * at 10 am Saturday the stage was 19.1 feet... * minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast... * flood stage is 17.0 feet... * the river will continue to slowly fall and is expected to fall below flood stage early Wednesday morning March 24th. Location flood latest observed maximum forecast recent observed stage stage time stage time crest time 935 am CDT Sat Mar 20 2010 ... The Flood Warning remains in effect until 1000 am CDT Monday for extreme northeastern Grant... southeastern Roberts and west central Big Stone counties... * The Levels on Big Stone Lake were at 973.55 feet as of 8 am Saturday morning. The lake is expected to rise between 974.25 and 974.75 feet. Many structures and roads have been affected along the lake. With additional rises... many more structures and homes will be affected over the next few days. A Flood Warning means flooding is occurring or is imminent. All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Be prepared for continued rising lake levels.
