Patchy dense fog will be found across northwest Wisconsin this morning...gradually diminishing after 10 am. A few of the locations affected by the fog include...Ashland and other communities along U.S. Highway 2...the Hayward lakes area and locations along U.S. Highway 63 to Spooner. A dense fog advisory is in effect for the U.S. Highway 8 corridor from Rice Lake...to Ladysmith...Prentice and Phillips. Travelers can expect visibilities to drop to a quarter mile or less at times. Near ground temperatures hovering around freezing may also create slick spots on roadways.
